The Menschel Media Center is home to both CitrusTV, the student-run television station, and Light Work, an artist-run non-profit organization that supports emerging and under-represented artists in media and photography through residencies, exhibitions, a communal digital lab facility, and other resources. The facility includes several galleries, darkrooms, a digital imaging lab, collection storage area, as well as a television studio.
The Menschel Media Center is located in the former Watston Theater Complex. The center was built to expand the facilities of Light Work and the community darkrooms. Robert B. Menschel, Class of 1955 and University trustee, provided a $2 million gift to support the construction of the facility.
